Step to be done
1. Shut off the power to the garbage disposal’s receptacle at the circuit box.

3.
InSinkErator Quick-Lock Flange Assembly
Spread plumber’s putty or silicone sealant over the top drain opening and press the new Quick-Lock sink flange into place. Slip the gasket and mounting rings over the bottom of the flange and tighten the three mounting bolts with a screwdriver to secure the assembly to the sink.
4. Unscrew the access panel screw on the bottom of the disposal to expose the wiring. Use the wire nuts to twist together the white, black, and green wires with the corresponding wires from the power cord. Reinstall the panel. Make the same connections to the power supply with the wires in the junction box.
5. Mate the three mounting tabs on top of the disposer with the slots in the mounting ring. Turn the mounting ring until the tabs lock into place.
6. Slip the gasket supplied with the disposal over the discharge shoot opening and connect the discharge tube to the P-trap using the factory screws. Tighten the large nuts with the channel lock pliers or pipe wrench.
7. Restore the power to the junction box. Fill the sink with water and turn the switch to the disposal on to check for leaks.
